| 内容記述 | 近年,看護情報学分野では,患者・家族・ケア提供者で,健康分野について目ら学習し各目の健康管理を図る人々がヘルスコンシューマと呼ばれ,注目されてきている.今回国内のヘルスコンシューマの好みやニーズ,使用法を知りモデル化する目的で,看護学部大学生8名を対象に「虫歯」に関する課題を与え,情報検索過程を記録し,情報検索に関する意識調査も行った.その結果,次のことが明らかになった.(1)インターネット上で信頼性の高い情報を得るための知識は持っているにも関わらず,実践できているとはいえなかった.(2)単一の検索エンジンで,1～3語のキーワードをAND論理演算式で組み合わせた検索法を繰り返していた.(3)「絵や画像の活用」や「予防」に関する情報を特に好んでいた.以上の結果を踏まえ,今後は質の高い情報検索能力を身につけるためには,検索のプロセスを教育することと,身につくまでくり返し訓練することが必要なのではないか.また,健康情報提供者は,コンシューマのニーズに合わせた情報提供を行っていく必要があるのではないか. | |||||

| 内容記述 | Background : The recent growth of Consumer Health Informatics (CHI) is an interesting component of Nursing Informatics, but few previous studies have investigated CHI in Japan. Objective : To clarify nursing students' internet-based techniques for searching and evaluating information in order to find their topic of preference, meet their information needs, and the way the information is used. Methods : Eight nursing students studying at Iwate Prefectural University were given an assignment to search for data on tooth decay and observed in a usability laboratory [DD1] setting while retrieving health information from the web. After completing the assignment, the participants were asked to fill in a questionnaire. Results : The findings were as follows : (1) In spite of their knowledge about accessing reliable information on the Internet, the participants were unable to apply the correct [DD2] criteria. (2) Participants used a single search engine and entered combinations of 1-3 word(s) connected by "AN D". (3) Participants showed a preference for websites with pictures and with articles about prevention. Conclusions : Further education is needed to improve the ability of consumers by ensuring that they have sufficient proficiency in assimilating health information, and in helping others to acquire such ability. Information providers have a responsibility to deliver health information that is suited to the demands of consumers. | |||||
