| 内容記述 | This paper is an attempt to shed new light on the notion of Focus Group from the viewpoint of its role in the process of the community development, which is in contrast to the tradition that Focus Group has been seldom discussed in the studies of social welfare in the literature. In the course of the discussion, we firstly review and summarize the result of our questionnaire in the designated seven focus groups practiced in a certain city in Iwate Prefecture. The result leads us to the conclusion that the introduction of Focus Group in the field of the social welfare in a local community is effective in the sense that it can provide members in a group with a good opportunity to positively participate in the process of the community development as well as promote the creativity through active communication among them. | |||||
