However, it has not yet been verified what kind of politics is effective. This paper examines the effects of IT program held for the elderly in Iwate Prefecture last year. The participants were participants of the IT program. The elderly participants were members of either the Iwate Senior Net or clubs for the elderly. A survey was done on them. Present results showed that the IT program may bring out interests of the elderly in IT which had not been expressed. It was also displayed that different types of programs yielded different effects.
