| 内容記述 | 食餌ホヤの血清ならびに肝臓中コレステロールレベルおよびステロイドの真中排泄に対する影響をウィスターラットにおいて検討した。ラットには,たんぱく質(20%)ならびに脂質(7%)含量を同等として,20%カゼインを含む基本食あるいは基本復に20%のホヤ筋肉部分を含む実験食を与えた。ホヤの摂取により,血清総コレステロールならびに超低密度リポたんぱく質(VLDL)+低密度リポたんぱく質(LDL)コレステロール濃度が低下し,中性および酸性の両ステロイドの糞中への排泄量が増加した。これらの結果より,食餌ホヤは少なくとも一部として,中性および酸性の両ステロイドの糞中への排泄量を増加させることによって血清総コレステロールならびに(VLDL+LDL)-コレステロール濃度を低下させることが示唆された。 | |||||

| 内容記述 | The effects of dietary sea squirt (Halocynthia roretzi) on serum and liver cholesterol levels and steroid excretions into feces in Wistar rats were investigated. Rats were fed a 20% casein (basal) diet or a basal diet including 20% sea squirt muscle. All of the diets contained the same levels of protein (20%) and lipids (7%). Serum total cholesterol and very-low-density lipoprotein plus low-density lipoprotein (VLDL+LDL)-cholesterol concentrations were reduced by the dietary sea squirt ingestion. Both neutral and acidic steroid excretions into feces were enhanced by the same diet feeding. These results suggest that the dietary sea squirt reduces the serum total cholesterol and (VLDL+LDL)-cholesterol concentrations via, at least in part, the enhancement of the neutral and acidic steroid excretions into feces. | |||||
