内容記述 | The "Measure of Physical Strength Increase" study at Arisu Junior High School will be introduced and subsequent progress of the study will be described. The figure in which the students' physical strength increases should correlate to the results of a questionnaire about the students' life situation. This result was strongly supported by good results in various athletic meets. It was found that the value of a student's bone density was higher than the fiducial point of the student's age in the same year. The students' rate of body fat showed a low tendency, and especially showed a value at the low end of the proper range for the male students. It was discovered as a result of a nutritional investigation that, as for the students' rate of calcium ingestion sufficiency, males and females showed high rates of 100% or more. However, the rates of carbohydrate sufficiency of male students and female students were 85.6% and 81.6%, respectively, and it was acknowledged that this is a low value. This is considered to be the main factor with regard to students' low rate of energy sufficiency. Although iron is an ingredient especially important for female students, the rate of sufficiency is low. The students' rate of dietary fiber sufficiency for male students and female students is also low. It was determined that there was too much salt ingestion by both male students and female students. From these results, in addition to all the school training, an improvement in the field of nutrition is considered to be an important element in the increase of physical strength. It is concluded that young people can lead an even healthier life with improvements in our understanding of the ingestion of nutrients. | |||||
