 note = {Successful aging達成の要因を検討することを目的として,I 県に在住する百寿者の日常生活動作,性格傾向について調査した.日常生活動作については,食事摂取・意思の表示。話の了解について6割以上の百寿者が「独力で普通にできる・正常」であった.排便・排尿・起立・着衣については「独力で普通にできる・正常」と「不能・全面介助」の両極端が多かった.行動範囲については,「ベッド上のみ」と卜「居室内」の割合が多く,6割以上であった.先行研究では,近年になるにつれて日常生活動作が低下傾向にあると報告されているが,先行研究の結果と今回の我々の調査結果を比較すると,日常生活動作が低下傾向にあろことが明らかになった.また,性格傾向については先行研究の結果と同様に,同調性の性格として「朗らか」「明るい」「交際がひろい」「親しみやすい」,顕示性の性格として「まけずぎらい」,執着性の性格として「幾帳面」「仕事熱心」という性格特徴がみられた.さらにI県の特徴として,自分をしっかり持ち信念を貫くという性格傾向がみられた.日常生活動作が低下傾向にあるという結果からsuccessful aging達成の要因を考えると,日常生活動作を低下させる要因の一つである百寿者を「寝かせきり」にしないことが日常生活動作を保つために重要であると言える.また百寿者の性格傾向を理解した上で,「生きがい」「やる気」を持つことができる関わりをすることが,健康で長寿を全うするための一つの要因であると考えられた., The ability to perform activities of daily living and the personality traits of centenarians residing in I Prefecture were examined to identify the factors of successful aging. More than 60% of centenarians indicated that they can perform everyday tasks such preparing meals, expressing their ideas, and understanding conversations "on their own". Regarding having bowel movements, urinating, standing up, and getting dressed, many answers tended toward the extremes of "I can do it on my own" or "I cannot do it. I need help". Over 60% of respondents indicated a range of activity extending to the "bed only" or to "the living room". Age-related decline was also observed. Respondents in I Prefecture were especially likely to describe themselves as knowing their own mind and having confidence in themselves. Successful aging requires efforts to factors, which reduce individual ability to perform activities of daily living, and efforts to ensure that centenarians are kept engaged in their environments.
