| 内容記述 | クマタカ(Nisaetus nipalensis )の生息地保全に必要な知見を得ることを目的に、生息に影響している要因の解明を行なった。調査は青森県、岩手県、宮城県、秋田県、山形県、福島県の6 県の全域を対象とし、巣が確認されている生息区と生息情報がない森林地帯から選定した対照区との環境を比較した。生息環境を評価するため地形的要素、植生的要素、景観的要素から指標を作成した。解析手法は、分布情報の有無を応答変数とした同時自己回帰モデル(simultaneous autoregressive model:SAR)である。また、多雪地と少雪地とで、生息に影響する要因が異なっていないかを検証するため、データセットを2 分して同様の解析を行なった。解析の結果、クマタカの生息には営巣環境として地形が制限要因になっており、行動圏内の採食環境も重要であることが示唆された。多雪地と少雪地を比較すると、多雪地では地形的要素の影響が強く反映されている一方、少雪地では植生的要素の影響が比較的強いこと、急傾斜地の多さは多雪地では負に作用するが少雪地では正に作用していることなどが示された。これらの結果は雪崩やグライドなどを通して、積雪が植生に与えている影響が間接的に表れたものと推測された。 | |||||

| 内容記述 | To gain knowledge needed to preserve the habitat of the Mountain Hawk-Eagle(Nisaetus nipalensis ). I determined factors affecting distribution in the entirety of six prefectures: Aomori, Iwate, Miyagi, Akita, Yamagata, and Fukushima, comparing the environments in breeding areas where nests were found and in control areas which were chosen from forested areas with no reports of distribution. I prepared indices from topography, vegetation, and landscape factors for assessing habitats. The analysis method was the simultaneous autoregressive model (SAR), which uses the existence or absence of distribution information as a response variable. To investigate whether factors affecting distribution differed between areas with heavy and light snowfall, I divided the data set into two groups and conducted the same kind of analysis. Results suggested that topography is a factor limiting the eagle's nesting environment, and that the foraging environment of its home range is also important. Comparison of areas according to snowfall amount found, for example, that in heavy-snowfall areas topographical factors are highly influential, while in light-snowfall areas vegetation influence is comparatively strong; and that while the prevalence of steep terrain has a negative effect in heavy-snowfall areas, it has the opposite effect in light-snowfall areas. These results were attributed to the indirect effects of snowfall on vegetation through avalanches and glides. | |||||
