| 内容記述 | 本研究は、アンケート方式により、公立大学における教員養成の規模や組織体制、教員の現状認識、教育実習の実態、また現在すすめられている教員養成改革への取り組みなどを分析し、公立大学における教員養成の現状と課題を明らかにし、本学教員養成の課題や展望に資することを目的とするものである。考察の結果、以下のことが明らかとなった。その一は、公立大学はその多くが歴史の浅い小規模の後発大学であり、教員養成を主目的とはしないが、地域の付託を受けた高等教育機関として地域貢献や進路保証の側面から教員養成に責任をもたねばならないという二面性をもっており、ここに公立大学がもつ教員養成の基本的課題や困難性が存在するということである。その二は、公立大学における教員養成の位置づけの不明確さである。学生の教職志望意識に落差があり、教員の教職のとらえ方も不明確ななかで、公立大学がめざす教員養成像とそれをふまえた制度や組織改革の展望をいっそう明確にすることが求められている。その三は、教員養成の組織的指導体制の未整備についてである。公立大学では一般的に専任教員が少なく、きめ細かな指導ができないため、全学的教職担当組織において、全学を見通した課題の提示や統一性のある活動により、責任ある指導体制をどのように構築するかが問われている。その四は、教育改革、教員養成改革動向への対応の不徹底である。教育改革の動きが急であるため、その対応におわれる状況のなかで、地域に責任を負う公立大学として必要な対応を試みながらも、明確な展望をつかみ得ていない実態が明らかとなった。 | |||||

| 内容記述 | Using the questionnaire method, I analyzed the true state of and problems associated with teacher education at public universities and trends in the present reform of teacher education. In clarifying some of the present conditions and problems, I aim to resolve some of these problems and present the prospects for teacher education in Iwate Prefectural University. After some consideration, the following points became clear. 1. Many public universities are small and have been established only recently. They have a dual responsibility in that, as public institutions, they do not aim for teacher education as their primary purpose, while at the same time they are expected to contribute to local development and are responsible for teacher education for the local higher education system. This is the basic problem concerning teacher education in public universities. 2. The role of public universities in teacher education is unclear. The degree of interest students have in the profession varies greatly and university teachers do not share a particular vision for teacher education. It is necessary for public universities to step forward with a clear concept for teacher education, and institutional and organizational reforms should be considered in accordance with this. 3. The structural system for supervising teacher education is not fully developed. The provision of detailed guidance in public universities is almost impossible, since there are few teachers who are engaged in this. The problem to be solved then is how to create a responsible system for the university as a whole that has a common concept. 4. The participation of teachers in public universities in educational reform is not enough. Educational reform is imminent, and it is obvious that, despite their efforts to resolve existing problems and take responsibility, the local universities lack a clear vision. | |||||
