| 内容記述 | Starting the academic year 2016, as part of the curriculum reform of the English language courses in IPU (Iwate Prefectural Univeristy), the university will start offering a new English course in which students will be enrolled in the ESL (English as a Second Language) courses in Ohio University (OU: located in Athens, OH). The purpose of this report is twofold; first, I will summarize the history of the relationship between OU and IPU, making special references to the earthquake-tsunami relief that OU and IPU both had been deeply involved in. Then, as a second main issue, I will present a course proposal and description of the English language training program with OU, presenting some of the information about OU and its specialized ESL institute, OPIE (Ohio Program of Intensive English) that I collected through my visits to OU in February and in September in 2015. | |||||
